Job Summary Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines
Solves complex problems
Works independently, receives minimal guidance
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment
Essential Functions
Prepares and implements quality assurance policies, procedures & review cycles
Manages internal audit program; internal & customer required audit schedules, leads audits, and creates audit reports
Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions
Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed
Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed
May administer the material review boards & database
May also lead or support various projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Required education and experience:
Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred education and experience:
Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major:
Quality or related degree preferred
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements Up to 25% travel likely.
Pay Range (USD) $94,775.00 - $128,225.00
Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
