POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Mobile Unit Driver is responsible for operating Game Creek Video’s fleet of mobile units and transporting broadcast technology from one site to the next to deliver world class productions out of the youngest HD fleet in the industry. Game Creek Video operates its fleet of mobile units in strict compliance with the United States Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. The Mobile Unit Driver will operate trucks with a capacity of 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
To understand and strictly adhere to all laws, regulations, and policiesprovided by the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, jurisdictions wherein Game Creek Video conducts business as well as Game Creek Video policies and procedures Deliver assigned truck to the designated site in North America on-time and in accordance with DOT rules and regulations as well as Game Creek Video’s policies and procedures Assist in unloading and set up of mobile unit upon arrival at the show site Assist in the strike/teardown, checking in of equipment, and packing and loading of the mobile unit upon completion of the remote production and in preparation for the next run when Hours of Service (HOS) allow Keep exterior of tractor and trailer clean, well-maintained, and compliant always Manage assigned truck in areas of safety, maintenance, and repair Maintain current and accurate electronic logs, trip records, expense reports, and all other records and paperwork required by regulation, law, and company policy Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate tractor trailer safely and competently with manual transmission throughout North America Possess working knowledge of FMCSA regulations with a clear understanding of HOS regulations Capable of driving up to legal maximum hours per day and working up to legal maximum hours per day when necessitated by schedule or show demands Flexibility to work variable shifts, which may include night work and overnight driving Must have strong time-keeping and organizational skills Work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced and changing environment Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Work in a team-focused, collaborative environment with fellow employees, office staff, clients, and crews to execute tasks, solve problems, and deliver a world class customer experience Proper attire to be always worn while performing responsibilities as outlined in the Employee Handbook
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA) in good standing from home state Possess DOT Physical Certification to operate commercial vehicles in interstate commerce per the regulatory requirements outlined in § 391.41 Meet all other DOT and FMCSA regulations and qualifications required to operate tractor trailers in interstate commerce throughout the United States and Canada 5+ years of recent experience driving tractor trailers Airline travel required; possess or be willing to acquire a U.S. passport All previous accidents and/or violations will be subject to a detailed review Participation in client-requested background checks when assigned to shows that require it
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit at controls of vehicle for extended periods of time Ability to use various hand and foot controls on a regular basis Ability to bend, squat, kneel on both knees, and climb stairs frequently Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. frequently
Ability to carry 50 lbs. a distance of 50 feet occasionally Ability to pinch (10 lbs.) and grip (50 lbs.) related broadcast equipment Must be able to maintain a position within a space 3.5 - 4 feet tall up to 1 minute occasionally
Ability to horizontally transfer 40 lbs. on a push-pull cart up to 50 feet Ability to vertically transfer 50 lbs. on a push-pull system with upper extremities only from 4.5 – 6 feet Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
