Senior Salesforce Developer- Marketing Cloud Department: IT/Business Apps
Location: Remote
Position Summary
Client is seeking an experienced and motivated Salesforce Developer with specialized expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support our critical business functions, with a primary focus on marketing automation and engagement. You will join our dynamic Salesforce IT team and play a key role in enhancing and optimizing our marketing technology stack.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Visualforce).
2+ years of proven, in‑depth experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, AMPscript, and SQL.
Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, data models, and security architecture.
Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) for system integrations.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Marketing Cloud Developer.
Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC) setup and administration.
Experience with ABM platforms and their Salesforce integration (e.g., 6sense migration/implementation).
Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud (CPQ & Billing) migration.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with other Salesforce products like Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
Experience with CI/CD tools for Salesforce (e.g., Gearset, Copado, SFDX).
Responsibilities
Salesforce Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high‑quality, scalable solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
Develop and manage customer journeys using Journey Builder.
Create dynamic, personalized emails and landing pages using Email Studio, Content Builder, and AMPscript.
Build and maintain complex automations and SQL queries in Automation Studio.
Manage data extensions, subscriber data, and segmentation using Contact Builder and Audience Builder.
Configure and troubleshoot Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC).
Solution Design: Collaborate with business analysts, marketing stakeholders, and other developers to translate business requirements into well‑architected technical solutions.
Integration: Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other third‑party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
System Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner, perform system maintenance, and debug application‑related problems.
Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce development best practices, including code standards, version control (SFDX), and deployment processes (CI/CD).
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all custom development and integrations.
