Overview Sales Ambassadors at Lush are experts in product and brand knowledge, and provide exceptional customer consultations and product demonstrations. They cultivate strong team relationships, contribute to overall shop excellence, consistently surpass daily sales goals, and create a fun and inclusive team environment that keeps customers returning.
They focus on personalized product recommendations, share knowledge and expertise, and aim to make a positive impact on the world with every interaction.
Responsibilities
Driving Sales:
Utilize StoreForce dashboard results and seek feedback to exceed sales goals. Take ownership of results and actively work to grow the contribution to overall store sales.
Customer Experience:
Consistently deliver a world‑class experience, listen attentively, ask open‑ended questions, demonstrate product benefits, and seek opportunities to make customers’ day more Lusher.
Building the Brand:
Educate customers on Lush values—Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, Naked Packaging—and articulate these in store and community engagement.
Product Passion:
Continuously expand product knowledge, stay up‑to‑date on ingredients and benefits, and confidently recommend products for each customer’s needs.
Team Development:
Utilize Lush resources to develop sales techniques and product knowledge, assess performance, and seek feedback and opportunities to improve and elevate skills.
DEIB Engagement:
Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives, foster belonging, promote teamwork, and recognize unique contributions.
Time and Attendance:
Be punctual, reliable, and present; prioritize wellbeing, take breaks when necessary, and stay updated on company news.
Visuals and Merchandising:
Maintain a clean, organized store that enhances the shopping experience and drives sales.
Stock and Inventory:
Use visual merchandising guidelines to adjust product displays based on sales.
Policies and Procedures:
Practice company standards for opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent customer service skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
NOTE: Candidates under the age of 18 will be employed on a contract basis through the Lush Youth Employment Program, in line with local regulations.
Preferred:
Experience with consultation‑based customer service models
Strong problem‑solving skills for day‑to‑day operations
Experience working in a team environment
Experience working in skincare or cosmetics
Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
Salary $15 – $15 USD per hour
