Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation, while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
- Carry and maintain assigned armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post requirements, and applicable laws, while exercising sound judgment during daily duties and incident response.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
