Relevant du Vice-président – Ventes, ingénierie & projets, le Gestionnaire de Pré-construction / Estimation pilote l’ensemble des activités d’estimation et de pré-construction pour des projets majeurs en béton préfabriqué. Le poste couvre l’Ontario ainsi que les marchés stratégiques du Nord-Est américain, notamment New York et Boston.
Ce rôle clé combine expertise technique, vision stratégique et leadership. Il s’adresse à un professionnel expérimenté capable de comprendre en profondeur les documents contractuels, d’identifier les risques et opportunités, et de guider les équipes vers des solutions efficaces et compétitives.
Ses tâches se définissent comme suit :
- Diriger les activités d’estimation et de préconstruction pour les projets en Ontario et dans le Nord-Est américain.
- Analyser les plans, devis, échéanciers et exigences de constructibilité.
- Développer une compréhension complète de l’étendue des travaux et identifier les lacunes, risques et incohérences.
- Formuler des commentaires et recommandations claires, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.
- Superviser et valider les quantitatifs, hypothèses et prix préparés par l’équipe.
- Préparer les budgets, stratégies de prix et soumissions.
- Coordonner les prix avec les fournisseurs, sous-traitants et équipes internes.
- Développer des stratégies adaptées aux réalités des marchés de New York et Boston.
- Participer aux rencontres de design-assist et proposer des solutions de value engineering .
- Collaborer avec le Conseiller Technique pour les revues techniques.
Relations et développement des affaires
- Développer et maintenir des relations solides avec les clients, entrepreneurs généraux, architectes, ingénieurs et fournisseurs.
- Représenter BPDL lors des phases de pré-construction et d’appels d’offres.
- Participer aux rencontres clients, présentations et activités de prospection.
- Adopter une approche proactive, pratique et orientée solutions.
- Suivre les opportunités de projets dans les marchés ciblés.
Leadership et amélioration continue
- Encadrer et soutenir les estimateurs dans leurs responsabilités.
- Améliorer les outils, processus et bases de données d’estimation.
- Promouvoir l’innovation et l’adoption de nouvelles technologies.
- Établir des standards de qualité pour les estimations et quantitatifs.
- Participer aux discussions stratégiques de sélection de projets.
- Favoriser un environnement d’équipe collaboratif, rigoureux et responsable.
Qualifications :
- Formation en architecture ou en ingénierie requise.
- 7+ années d’expérience en estimation, pré-construction, conception ou gestion de projet.
- Solide expérience en systèmes architecturaux de bâtiment; expérience en préfabriqué un atout.
- Connaissance des systèmes structuraux, du mur-rideau ou de l’enveloppe du bâtiment.
- Expérience dans les marchés de la construction en Ontario et/ou dans le Nord-Est américain.
- Forte capacité à comprendre l’étendue des travaux et à commenter les documents contractuels.
- Aptitude à engager les parties prenantes et à fournir des solutions pratiques.
- Intérêt pour l’utilisation de l’IA et des technologies pour améliorer l’efficacité.
- Excellentes compétences en communication, leadership et organisation.
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique.
- Certains déplacements en Ontario et dans le Nord-Est américain peuvent être requis.
