Hoe ziet je dag eruit als Expert Security Engineer?
Als Expert Security Engineer start je je dag met een stand-up samen met je team. Tijdens deze sessie bespreken jullie de binnengekomen tickets en verdelen jullie de taken. Dit kunnen incidenten of geplande changes zijn. In overleg met de Scrum Master wordt afgestemd of iemand extra ondersteuning nodig heeft. Daarna ga je aan de slag met jouw planning en taken.
Jouw werk is allesbehalve voorspelbaar. Je schakelt tussen verschillende klanten, variërend van kleine organisaties tot grote financiële instellingen, gemeenten, ziekenhuizen en bloemenbedrijven. Elke klant brengt unieke uitdagingen met zich mee waardoor je werk nooit saai is. Ook heb je als Expert Security Engineer veel vrijheid om te kiezen welke producten en tools je inzet om de beste oplossingen te bieden. Jouw rol is cruciaal. Zonder jou missen we expertise en kennis om complexe problemen op te lossen.
Je maakt deel uit van een hecht team binnen ons Service Management Center (SMC). Intern werk je samen met collega-security-experts, een People’s Manager, Scrum Master en een coördinator. Extern schakel je met klanten, waarbij je verantwoordelijkheden afhankelijk zijn van het type contract. Zo regel je bij grote klanten vaak alles zelf, terwijl kleinere klanten meer basiskennis en ondersteuning nodig hebben. Tot slot werk je intensief samen met de BUILD-afdeling, voor installaties en deployments.
Wat breng je mee?
Bij Proximus NXT maak je impact door te werken aan complexe IT-infrastructuren voor grote klanten. De kwaliteiten pro-actieviteit en flexibiliteit staan binnen jouw functie als Expert Security Engineer centraal. Daarbij ben je sterk in communicatie, zowel intern als naar klanten. Dat is belangrijk omdat klanten op jou rekenen voor de beveiliging van hun infrastructuur. Een escalatie kan voor hen grote gevolgen hebben, daarom zorg je voor duidelijke communicatie.
- Je beschikt over hbo-werk- en denkniveau en hebt minimaal 5-7 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie met voornaamste focus op security oplossingen.
- Je hebt goede kennis van Firewalling oplossingen zoals Cisco Firepower en Fortigate, kennis van DNS en Email security is een pré ervaring.
- Je hebt praktische ervaring en kennis van netwerktechnologieën zoals IP-routing, switching en BGP. Je kunt problemen effectief oplossen en weet hoe je kan omgaan met complexe netwerkomgevingen zoals datacenters of managed serviceproviders voor IT-infrastructuur.
