Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community. Job Purpose As a Direct Support Professional, you help people live fuller, more independent lives. You'll provide support at home and in the community while building real relationships and gaining valuable career experience.
Wage:
- $18.00 per hour for full-time employees after the completion of a 90-day introductory period, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour.
- $16.50 per hour for part-time employees after the completion of a 90-day introductory period, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour.
Perks: Paid Training - Competitive Benefits - Overtime Pay - Flexible Scheduling Location: Multiple locations in North Mankato, Mankato, and Eagle Lake. Schedules Available:
- 840 hours per week
- Mornings, evenings, or overnights
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday/fill-in opportunities
- Flexible scheduling
What You'll Do:
- Provide respectful, individualized care.
- Assist with personal cares. (dressing, bathing, feeding, etc.)
- Support daily living activities. (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
- Participate in community outings. (bowling, shopping, movies, exercise)
- Follow health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete documentation and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license & acceptable driving record
- Must pass MN DHS Background Study
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn, no experience required
- Preferred experience: CNA, PCA, DSP, caregiver, or similar
