Remote Basic Purpose and Objective We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Territory Sales Manager to join our team. This role will focus on selling advanced systems and solutions to manufacturing companies in the automotive, agricultural, defense, and aerospace industries across Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, a deep understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, and the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive revenue growth in the assigned territory. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and services within Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the automotive, agricultural, defense, and aerospace industries, targeting manufacturing companies. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant managers, engineering teams, and procurement leaders, to understand their challenges and propose tailored solutions. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase product benefits and align with customer requirements. Collaborate with internal technical and engineering teams to develop customized solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with customer budgets. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and maintain a competitive edge. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM software. Provide regular sales forecasts, territory reports, and updates to the Regional Sales Director to support strategic planning. Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote products and build brand awareness. Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards during sales and service activities. Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, or related technical sales within the manufacturing sector. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in the automotive, agricultural, defense, or aerospace industries. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business growth in a competitive market. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a large territory effectively. Ability to travel extensively (up to 50-75%) within Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee to meet with clients and attend industry events. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
