Join us and help change the future of healthcare for the better./ppThe Medical Assistant position is comfortable working in a fast paced, paperless environment. Daily tasks include taking vitals, rooming patients, cleaning rooms, assisting with procedures, etc. As an urgent care clinic, we see mostly lower acuity patients but we are a patient centric, modern company focused on providing patients with excellent medical care. We are looking for someone with availability and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliPerform patient care by taking vitals, patient history and triaging/liliAssist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care/liliAdminister medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes, carry out ear lavages and run EKGs/liliConduct lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, rapid HIV testing/liliManage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed/liliComplete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests/li/ulh3About You/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliCertification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those locations(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma and/or national certification)/liliCurrent BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification/lili1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred/liliPhlebotomy experience preferred/liliGreat communication skills/li/ulh3Benefits/h3ulliMedical, dental vision coverage, effective first day of employment/liliHealth Savings Account Flexible Savings Account option for health care dependent care/liliPaid time off, paid sick leave/lili401k retirement savings plans with employer match/liliLife Disability Insurance/liliDOT certification will be reimbursed where it is required for practice/li/ulp*Some benefits dependent on specialty and employment status/ppWe recognize that the key to success lies in valuing the minds, experiences and perspectives of people from all walks of life.
