The NAI performs duties, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients or changing linens./ppResponsibilities: Patients and families are served in providing direct patient care services. Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner to project a positive image of the department and hospital. Ensures that contacts with other health care members is friendly helpful and courteous./ph3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school graduate or equivalent./li/ulh3Professional Experience Requirement/h3ulliNone required./li/ulh3Licensure/Registration/Certification/h3ulliCertified by the N. C. Department of Facility Services as a NAI. BCLS Certification./li/ulh3Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Requirements/h3ulliGood interpersonal, communication and observation skills are essential. Understanding of patient care needs according to developmental stages for various age groups./li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliExposure to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and other infectious diseases requiring the use of protective equipment; exposure to other hazards, such as radiation, toxic waste, chemical hazards based on the departments. Possible exposure to conditions, such as fumes, noxious odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation./li/ulh3Physical Requirement/h3ulliStanding, sitting, walking and working throughout the shift. Lifting, pulling, turning and pushing patients daily. Ability to use appropriate Safe-Patient Handling equipment. Visual acuity, auditory and verbal skills necessary.
