This position could be a cashier, receiver, or sales associate. The Key Carrier should know the necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence, on a short-time basis and be able to open and close store as directed./ph3Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliPlease see cashier, receiver or sales associate job descriptions for specific job responsibilities and duties./liliOpen and close store as directed./liliAssist in the management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates./liliKnow necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence./liliAssist in the day-to-day operation of the store./liliAssist in the training of new store associates./liliMaintain an awareness of safety/security issues and report any accidents or incidents occurring during the Store Managers absence to the Store Manager promptly./liliUnderstand and implement company policies and procedures./liliAssist in the effort to increase sales, maintain profit structure, and reduce controllable expenses./liliAssist in the maintenance of interior/exterior store image and appearance (including staff appearance)./liliMaintain active role in personal selling./liliAssist in the practice of shrinkage control through preventative measures./liliAssist in resolution of personnel/customer problems and complaints./liliAssist in all other duties considered usual and customary in the retail apparel/footwear industry./liliAssist store manager in all other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors or general office./liliUnderstand all reports generated by the general office and coach all associates the actions needed to ensure compliance to goals.
