From short term rehab and recovery to long term skilled nursing care, hospice services, restorative care, and even respite care, we are by your side. Hillcrest Commons has been caring for area families since 1995, providing top-quality skilled nursing care for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We focus on maximizing patient recovery, comfort, and independence for the highest possible quality of life. From post-surgery and post-hospital rehabilitation to long-term care for a chronic illness, our highly skilled care teams provide compassionate attention and specialized care every step of the way.
Under the direction of the Program Director/Assistant, the Behavioral Health Aide provides support to all residents on the behavioral unit. The Behavioral Aide helps to promote a highly structured environment for residents daily, with the goal of improving the individual's behavior/quality of life.
As a Behavioral Health Aide, you will:
- Be expected to maintain a current and valid CNA Certification in Massachusetts
- Work with residents having various mental health needs and/or aggressive behaviors
- Assist on the unit and provide behavioral support when needed.
- Provide therapeutic programming (running group activities etc)
- Chart activity logs
- Monitor hallways and provide redirection to residents if needed.
- Act as a role model for residents (pro-social behavior, group participation)
- Maintain safety standards for residents at all times.
- Monitor, record and document observations of resident's behavior.
- Provide personal care to residents if needed (I.e. toileting, feeding, positioning)
- Instruct and counsel residents on positive behavioral aspects.
- Maintain and manage clean and safe environment for residents.
Pay Rate: $20 - $24 per hour
Weekend and Evening shift differentials available
Full Time and Part Time Positions Available
QualificationsEducationGED or better.
High School or better.
Experience1 year experience working in a Behavioral Health/Long Term Care setting preferred. C.N.A certification required.
