Requirements Active Missouri Occupational Therapist license. Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Experience providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Ability to support adult consumers with mobility, self-care, adaptive equipment, and safety needs. Behavioral health, rehabilitation, long-term care, or hospital experience preferred. Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to complete orientation and meet facility credentialing/security requirements.
Responsibilities Assess functional mobility and determine the need for mobility or adaptive equipment. Recommend interventions to support fall-risk reduction, safety, and functional independence. Notify facility staff of recommended equipment needs. Educate consumers and caregivers on the safe and appropriate use of adaptive equipment. Provide OT assessments and interventions for ADLs, self-care, and fine motor coordination. Support functional needs related to weakness, muscle re-education, and pain management. Document services, recommendations, and consumer progress in accordance with facility guidelines. Attend required orientation prior to beginning services. Perform other related duties as assigned.
