Your responsibilities include meeting sales quotas while providing competitive pricing for products and services and stellar customer service to your clients. Your duties as a national sales representative also involve analysis of sales and forecasting for future growth. Considerable travel is typical to meet with customers across the country to pitch new offerings. You work closely with team members, distributors, and others in the supply chain./ph3Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliMaintain and grow existing portfolios by leveraging current relationships to expand our business in new business verticals and/or additional geographic regions not currently serviced/liliWork independently to identify, bid, and close opportunities in new business verticals within the existing customer base./liliTravel across the country up to 25%/liliResolve disputes, respond to inquiries, investigate complaints, and alert team members to the existence of any issues pertaining to the account, and see the issue to resolution./liliEnsure implementation of Company sales and marketing initiatives/liliMaintain close working relationship and communication with Vice President- Sales/liliEnsure that excellent service is given and that customer satisfaction is high/liliResponsible for participating in all activities set out by the company in support of the Food Safety Modernization Act./liliAny other associated tasks as seen necessary by supervisory personnel/li/ulpWork remotely and travel when necessary for meetings and business purposes./ph3Competencies/Requirements/h3ulliBachelors degree or equivalent experience in critical infrastructure environment./liliMinimum 5 years of DSD service and sales experience/liliIndustry specific knowledge must have direct working experience in retail and food service business/liliGeneral business knowledge must have working knowledge of budget formation, business strategies, and profitability/liliJob related knowledge must have effective skills in selling, negotiating, leadership through example, decision making, communication (written and oral), and enthusiasm for the position/liliLeadership experience must have effective skills in managing people, motivating people, teamwork, follow through, and coaching and mentoring/liliMust have excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent computer skills including MS Office suite with Excel, Word and Power Point programs/liliWork planning, organization, and execution must be effective at meeting deadlines./liliDemonstrate leadership, team building, and conflict resolution for work group/liliAn affinity for developing strong professional networks./li/ul/div
