Job Overview An opportunity is available for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead architecture strategy, cloud modernization, and enterprise technology initiatives within a complex, large-scale environment. This role is ideal for a senior architect who can balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical leadership while guiding cross‑functional teams through cloud, application, integration, infrastructure, and data architecture decisions. Candidates with deep AWS expertise, strong enterprise architecture experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels will be prioritized for interviews. Must Haves 5–7+ years of experience in a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar technical leadership role. 8–10+ years of overall IT experience supporting enterprise‑scale systems and technology environments. Proven experience designing and implementing AWS-based solutions using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, and related technologies. Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure design, application architecture, integration patterns, and enterprise security practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. Demonstrated ability to create architecture artifacts, technical designs, decision records, and implementation‑ready documentation. Strong understanding of security, identity management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with experience working across technical and business teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. What the Client Needs You to Do The selected architect will provide technical leadership across multiple strategic initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards. Success in this role requires evaluating technology options, identifying risks and dependencies, and recommending architecture approaches that support long‑term operational sustainability. You will collaborate closely with project leadership, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to guide architecture decisions from planning through implementation and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities Lead architecture strategy and governance activities across cloud, application, infrastructure, integration, platform, and data domains. Design scalable and secure AWS‑based solutions that support modernization, optimization, and future growth objectives. Develop architecture patterns, reusable frameworks, and reference models that encourage consistency and reduce duplication across initiatives. Evaluate existing platforms, shared services, and enterprise capabilities before recommending new technology investments. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, engineers, vendors, and leadership teams to align technical decisions with business objectives. Review and guide architecture involving APIs, middleware, integrations, reporting platforms, enterprise applications, and cloud‑native services. Create conceptual, logical, and technical architecture diagrams, solution designs, integration models, and technical documentation. Define requirements for security, privacy, identity management, monitoring, resiliency, logging, backup, and disaster recovery. Assess technical risks, implementation challenges, vendor dependencies, and operational impacts while providing actionable recommendations. Support procurement reviews, vendor evaluations, implementation planning, deployment readiness, migration activities, and post‑launch stabilization efforts. Ensure architecture deliverables meet governance, compliance, accessibility, and operational support requirements. Provide leadership during architecture reviews, technical workshops, and executive decision‑making discussions. Exposure to technologies such as AWS, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Tableau, Snowflake, GitHub, Oracle Identity Management, IBM DataPower, Java/J2EE, Spring‑based frameworks, and related enterprise platforms. Experience within healthcare, public sector, human services, regulated industries, or large multi‑stakeholder environments is highly valued. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud governance practices, interoperability standards, DevSecOps principles, and IT service management methodologies is preferred. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, CCSP, ITIL, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure Solutions Architect, or comparable credentials are considered strong advantages. This position requires a professional who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities, and effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences. Work arrangement, schedule expectations, and reporting structure will be provided during the interview process.
