The Business Development Representative position will play a key role in supporting Business Development with a focus on seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.
You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service and will be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
Present our company to potential clients
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
Build long‑term trusting relationships with clients
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree 1‑3+ years’ experience in sales, operations, account management, customer success, and/or business development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a team
Creative problem‑solving skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments
Demonstrated ability to perform research, organize tasks and execute actions involving multiple team members in a gated and deadline driven environment
Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, CRM and ability to learn new applications
Customer service, multi‑channel sales, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills are a plus
Interest or prior knowledge of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and/or clean transportation is a plus
Motivational self‑starter with ability to multi‑task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong time management and organizational skills
$70,000 - $90,000 a year
