Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent for maintenance roles, including technicians, engineers, and supervisors. This remote position offers flexibility while requiring occasional travel to job sites, career fairs, or partner locations to support recruitment efforts. You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop strategies to attract skilled professionals in the maintenance field.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to identify and attract qualified candidates for maintenance positions, such as HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and facility managers.
Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media (e.g., LinkedIn), industry networks, and employee referrals.
Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and assess candidates' technical skills and experience in maintenance roles.
Coordinate and participate in virtual and in-person interviews, including travel to sites as needed for hands-on assessments or team meetings.
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for ongoing and future maintenance hiring needs.
Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create compelling job postings, and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Track recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness, and provide regular reports to leadership.
Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and best practices in maintenance recruitment.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, diversity initiatives, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably in technical or maintenance-related fields.
Proven track record of sourcing and placing candidates in skilled trades or maintenance roles.
Strong knowledge of maintenance industry terminology, certifications (e.g., OSHA, EPA), and common skill sets.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed).
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20-30% of the time) for recruitment events or on-site needs.
Required Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple requisitions in a remote environment.
Proficiency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack).
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform recruitment strategies.
