Responsibilities
Meet with business and functional teams to understand business requirements and assist senior developers in documenting those business requirements.
Design and write technical specifications based on business and project requirements.
Develop custom SAP solutions across a wide spectrum of object types (RICEF) and technologies (ABAP, OO ABAP, BOPF, Fiori, PI/PO, HANA, CDS, OData, AMDP, SAPUI5).
Work closely with SAP functional personnel and cross‑functional teams to implement and deploy changes to SAP solutions.
Write clean, efficient and reusable ABAP code under the guidance of senior developers.
Maintain assigned SAP documentation based on guidance.
Assist with end‑to‑end testing activities under senior developer guidance.
Provide basic go‑live support tasks as assigned by senior developers.
Perform assigned tasks with support from senior developers, working towards performing tasks with increasing independence.
Participate in (and start to perform) code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices under the supervision of senior developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP application issues with limited supervision.
Stay up to date on the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
Travel to client sites as needed to implement and support SAP solutions.
Test and troubleshoot to ensure alignment with documented business process and requirements.
Be actively involved in end‑to‑end testing and go‑live activities, such as transport sequencing, go‑live support, and hyper‑care.
Undertake additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Experiences And Skills
Must be eligible to receive a US security clearance.
Certificate in MIS, CS, IS, IT or other technical field.
2–4 or more years of experience in SAP development roles.
Travel up to 20%.
Experience working with the Department of Defense or other federal agency is a plus.
Specific Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
An understanding of multiple SAP development tools and techniques (e.g., ABAP, OO ABAP, BOPF, Fiori, PI/PO, HANA, CDS Views, ChaRM, etc.) with the ability to independently design, develop, test, debug, and implement.
Strong technical expertise and experience with software development processes and procedures, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Must be a self‑starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast‑paced, change‑oriented environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Collaborative team player with the ability to connect and work with employees at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
