Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.
* An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
* Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
* Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
* Additional credential in one of the following:
a .Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (ARDMS)
b. Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through (CCI)
c. Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RS) through ARRT
* Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
