Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees.About the RoleAs a Product Design Mechanical Engineer at Verkada, you’ll play a key role in designing and bringing to market our next generation of enterprise intercom products, owning the mechanical design from early concept through mass production.What You'll DoGenerate mechanical solutions for a wide variety of product requirements relevant to enterprise hardware (audio, cameras, buttons, mounting, sealing, environmental resistance, thermals, tamper resistance, etc.)Drive new products from initial proof of concept through to mass productionGenerate mechanical solutions for a wide variety of product requirements relevant to enterprise hardware (mounting, sealing, environmental resistance, thermals, tamper resistance, etc.)Collaborate with our Electrical Engineering team to integrate PCBAs, sensors, interconnects, and other electro-mechanical elements into your designsCollaborate with our Industrial Design team to explore, prototype, test new product concepts, and finalize product form and CMFWork with mechanical vendors to dial in DFM/DFA, then quote & kick-off parts at prototype and production quantitiesOwn tooling release, bring up, and validation for a broad variety of parts & processesDevelop, manage & execute mechanical reliability test plans and various DoEsAssist with failure analysis and root cause analysis; troubleshoot, iterate, and validate quickly

With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity.
