Our San Francisco, California, operations are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of order preparation, ensuring that all shipments are accurate, properly documented, and dispatched efficiently. You will work closely with warehouse staff to coordinate outgoing freight, manage shipping records, and maintain compliance with transportation regulations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate all outgoing shipments.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper documentation is attached.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
