About the Job

Safeguard our nation by joining the U.S. Border Patrol as a highly trained professional dedicated to enforcing immigration and customs laws.


Responsibilities:

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspect documents, and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens, smugglers of noncitizens at or near borders through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.

  • Interpret and follow tracks, marks, physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.

  • Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks in cities while patrolling international boundaries coastal waterways using government assets such as vehicles horses vessels for accomplishment USBP Mission purposes.
