Job Title: Border Protection Specialist

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Border Protection Specialist.

• To be considered for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level that includes enforcing customs laws, conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, utilizing intelligence techniques to identify potential threats, and making rapid decisions in high-pressure situations.


• We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in import/export laws and regulations who can facilitate legitimate trade while preventing smuggling activities.


• This role requires strong analytical skills to examine cargo/bags/merchandise and conduct interviews with suspected violators of laws to determine appropriate courses of action.

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication with colleagues will also play a significant role in your success.
