Automotive Service Advisor

An automotive service advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and service technicians at a car dealership, responsible for greeting customers, listening to their vehicle concerns, assessing necessary repairs, providing cost estimates, scheduling appointments, communicating with technicians, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process; essentially serving as a liaison between the customer and the mechanics while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer interaction: Greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, and gather information about the problem.
• Vehicle inspection: Conduct a visual inspection of the vehicle to identify potential issues.
• Estimate creation: Provide detailed cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services, including labor and parts.
• Service scheduling: Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians.
• Communication with technicians: Clearly communicate customer concerns and repair needs to technicians through work orders.
• Customer updates: Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs and potential delays.
• Repair approval: Obtain customer approval for repairs before proceeding.
• Warranty and insurance verification: Check warranty coverage and verify insurance details.
• Upselling services: Recommend additional maintenance or services based on vehicle needs.
• Complaint resolution: Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Follow-up: Contact customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction and schedule future maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

• Automotive service: 3 years (Required)
• Service writing: 2 years (Required)
