Position: Cook-2

Reports to: Executive Chef/Sous Chef

A Cook 2 prepares food and makes sure Servers deliver each dish to customers in a timely manner. A Cook 2 is responsible for that station's workflow and getting meals out on time. They oversee the cooking process from start to finish and determine how much time each step requires.

Duties/Responsibilities Include:

· Must be proficient in Sauté and Grill with experience in Fry, Broil and Banquet stations

· Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment

· Understanding of cooking skills, knife handling, and safety

· Ability to take direction from the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef

· Maintaining a specific station with others and/or individually

· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion

· Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

· Set up stocking stations with all necessary supplies

· Ability to work with speed and efficiency

· Estimating quantities and following large-scale recipes

· Able to walk or stand for long periods. Must be able to push, pull, or lift to 30 pounds. Must reach items at varying heights (on shelves, on the ground, etc.?

· Minimum of 2 years kitchen experience
