We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Expeditor Materials Specialist to join our team at K&A Engineering in Binghamton, NY. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:
- Supports Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commission Manager sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, tracking, expediting, managing materials and equipment manufacturing process and delivery to storage areas and project site.
- Verification of Bill of Materials
- Supplier Identification
- Commodity Lead Time Analysis
- Order Acknowledgements
- Expediting delivery
- Materials Management
- Communication to Project Managers regarding material schedules.
- Quality control
- Vendor Damage Claim Management
What we're looking for:
- Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
- Five (5) years of experience in Materials Management
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
- SAP Experience Preferred
- Experience in Utility Industry Preferred
- Must be a New York Resident- Hybrid Schedule (Tuesday-Thursday)
Pay Range $68,000—$76,000/annually
