We are looking for a certified and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operating procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic warehouse environment are essential. This is a great opportunity for skilled operators to contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and organize materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Complete required training and maintain forklift certification.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting and other physical tasks as needed.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and others.
