Join our dedicated team as a DSP - Direct Support Professional / AFL (Adult Family Living) Provider. Reach Back for the Community LLC strives to fulfill special needs lives by ensuring stability and consistency with care, love, and respect. Whether you're providing care in a residential setting or opening your home as an AFL provider, your support helps build lives filled with dignity, independence, and joy.

Ideal Candidates Have: Experience with caregiving, behavioral support, or working with IDD populations

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy standards to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Engage residents in social activities, recreational outings, and community events to promote socialization and mental well-being.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Uphold safety standards through regular cleaning, infection control practices, and adherence to health regulations such as CPR and First Aid certifications.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in assisted living environments.
  • Strong patient observation skills to monitor vital signs, behavioral changes, and overall health status.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and community resources.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
