Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.

This position will be responsible for planning and executing campus visit programs for prospective students and their families. This position will manage the logistics of the daily campus visit programs for all prospective students and their guests, coordinate college, school, and department programs information sessions, and help coordinate group tours for high schools and community-based organizations. This position will help oversee the Tour. Guide program and assists with the supervision of the tour guides, graduate assistants, and reports directly to the Associate Director of Events, Planning, and Experiences.

Communication: Responds to visit inquiries and serves as the point of contact throughout the pre-visit and post-visit process. This includes managing our visits through the Visits and Events Platform; Communicates with campus partners to arrange their participation in visit activities and resolve any scheduling conflicts that may arise before, during, or after a visit; Manages high volume phone calls and emails, assists with data entry, daily mail delivery, and preparation of materials for daily prospective visitors: Directs communication plans to promote visit reminders and follow up after the visit using our Visit and Events platform and social media platforms.

Assessment/Supervision Monitors campus tour registrations to make necessary adjustments to future registration limits to ensure that all students are able to participate in a campus tour. This includes using data and trends to ensure optimal tour guide to prospective student ratios are maintained, including peak periods like spring break, summer, and other school holidays; Analyzes survey responses and continuously researches best practices to assess and enhance the visitor experience; Meets with tour guides on a biweekly basis to discuss performance, survey results, and offer any additional feedback; Hires, manages, and oversees the tour guide positions, which includes developing a training series for each tour guide.

Event Management: Assists the Department of Undergraduate Admissions and Experience with larger scale events like Preview Days, Open Houses, Admitted Student Days, and other on and off campus events.

Presentation: Develops a working knowledge of all programs of study, academic programs, and department programs. This includes managing all campus partners contacts and establishing a relationship with campus partners; Creates and develops personalized and academic-focused tours for incoming prospective students; Conducts presentations and individual meetings to recruit and advise prospective undergraduate students, high school counselors, and other community partners; Maintains front lobby, housing showroom, and other high traffic areas that guests may interact with during the tour. This includes maintaining our golf cart(s). Other Duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
At least one year experience working in customer service.

Preferred Experience
At least one year experience working with college students or in an educational setting

$19.61- $20.19 Hourly. Paid on a Bi-Weekly Basis.
