Join our growing team as a Receiving Clerk in Portland, Oregon! This critical role involves managing the intake of all goods entering our distribution center, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment they arrive. You will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of inventory and supporting our comprehensive logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Efficiently unload trucks and inspect incoming merchandise.
- Accurately record all received goods into our inventory system.
- Reconcile shipment contents with purchase orders and packing lists.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare goods for internal distribution or storage.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, with proper certification.
- Support inventory management through accurate receiving data.
- Ensure all team members are following proper PPE protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving position is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Physical stamina to handle frequent standing, walking, and lifting; comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
