Are you meticulous and detail-oriented? Our Virginia Beach, Virginia location is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and reliable. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock movements, and implementing strategies to minimize loss and improve efficiency. Your analytical skills and understanding of warehouse operations and logistics will be vital to success. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Manage the movement and tracking of inventory within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with operations, shipping, and receiving teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness in inventory storage areas.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Safety protocols and the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
