Our Dallas, Texas logistics facility is seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the vital flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations, requiring precision in both shipping outgoing orders and accurately receiving incoming inventory. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying contents, documenting transactions, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices, including the mandatory use of PPE, is crucial. The position involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, checking for accuracy and damage.
- Document all shipping and receiving activities in the inventory management system.
- Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials.
- Organize and stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified and trained).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and policies, including the use of PPE.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations within a logistics environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active throughout the shift.
