We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our vibrant logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be a key contributor to our outbound operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying the accuracy of outgoing goods. This role is crucial for maintaining seamless customer service and ensuring the timely delivery of our products. We foster a culture of Safety and provide comprehensive training, including the essential use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Verify outgoing shipments against customer orders and internal records for accuracy.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect packages to ensure they are properly sealed, labeled, and meet carrier requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and update the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., sales, warehouse operations) and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist with receiving operations as needed.
- Uphold strict Safety standards and utilize all required PPE.
- Must be capable of moderate Lifting, generally up to 40 lbs, to move packages.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Dispatcher, or in a similar logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier procedures.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
