Our San Diego, California location is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics department. This role is vital for the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading deliveries, inspecting merchandise for damage or discrepancies, accurately documenting received items, and organizing them for put-away or further processing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming merchandise as required.
- Stage received goods for transport to appropriate warehouse locations.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
