Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help bring our next essential tool for image-based Machine Learning to the cloud. This role involves designing and optimizing cloud architecture, ensuring the right trade-offs between cost and performance, and working with both public and private cloud infrastructures.

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure for the Jetraw platform.
• Optimize cloud architecture for performance and cost.
• Manage and integrate AWS and Azure services, ensuring smooth operation across different environments.
• Develop and maintain continuous deployment pipelines.
• Develop and maintaining methods for health and performance monitoring and testing, as well as failure reporting and recovery.
• Work with various database systems to support data storage and processing needs.
• Implement and manage hybrid systems, combining on-cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Ensure robust privacy and security measures are in place for cloud operations.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver a user-friendly product that delights our customers.

• Solid technical understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Experience with serverless technologies and cloud cost-performance optimization.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure, including serverless technologies.
• Experience with continuous deployment, health monitoring and stress testing.
• Experience with different database systems and paradigms, in particular columnar databases, such as Amazon Redshift.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud systems and privacy/security best practices.
• Proficiency with quality assurance practices.
• Strong focus on delivering a user-friendly product.
• Must have a valid Swiss B or C work permit or Swiss/EU passport.

We are based in Zug, Switzerland. While we prefer candidates who can work from the office several days a week, we also welcome remote work within Switzerland for experienced candidates.
