RoomPriceGenie was founded in 2017 with the mission to help hoteliers all over the world to get their prices right. Many independent hotels are struggling with digitalization and their business is becoming more and more complex. They need our help! We make revenue management technology for hotels, guesthouses and vacation rentals, for single-property businesses and groups – they all use cloud-based property management software and want to increase their revenue in a transparent and efficient way. Our customers come from all over the world and love our solution and service. Our young and motivated team is distributed across Europe (Amsterdam, Belfast, Breda, London, Toulouse, Valencia) and we have offices in Mannheim, Germany and Steinhausen, Switzerland. Your role

As a (Senior) Python Data Engineer (m/f/d) at RoomPriceGenie you will have an interesting and challenging role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company.
You’ll be responsible for various tasks in the following areas:

• Work within one of our small teams of experienced and highly talented developers using Python and Django
• Build an automated ETL data pipeline
• Build and maintain a code base for data processing
• Build up a strong engineering organization and development culture within your team
• Evolve our architecture and engineering to support the ever-growing scale of users, features, and data.
• Work closely with Product and Design, taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Individual Contributor reporting directly to the Head of Product and the CTO

Your profile

• 5+ years of professional development experience with Python.
• Strong experience in processing data and drawing insights from large data sets
• Good familiarity with one or more libraries: pandas, NumPy, etc.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures and ETL pipelines
• Advanced understanding of Python development-related libraries such as Django.
• Excellent knowledge of software design principles.
• Great communication skills.
• High ownership skills.
• Team player, egoless and empathetic.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are based in European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2)

• Being based in Mannheim/Germany
• Hands-On experience with:
  • Airflow or similar
  • Snowflake (and Snowpark), AWS RDS (postgres) & DocumentDB (mongoDB)
  • ECS & Fargate
  • Celery & RabbitMQ
  • DataDog, SonarQube
