About
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced On-Demand Network Engineer to provide specialized support for our network infrastructure on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network technologies and extensive experience with Cisco and Dell solutions. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing network systems to ensure peak performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki firewalls, Wi-Fi access points (Client), and switches. • Manage and optimize Dell and Cisco UCS switches for seamless connectivity. • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect) VPN solutions for secure remote access. • Implement and manage static routing, OSPF, and VLAN configurations to maintain an efficient network structure. • Identify and resolve network bottlenecks and performance issues to ensure smooth operations. • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network performance and security. • Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps. Qualifications: • Proven experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco UCS solutions. • Expertise in Dell networking equipment. • Strong knowledge of Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect) VPN. • Hands-on experience with static routing, OSPF, and VLAN configurations. • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve network bottlenecks. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Contract Details: • Location: Remote or on-site as needed. Houston area. • Duration: Project-based, on-demand contract. 2-5 hours per month
