GotPhoto is looking for an enthusiastic Head of Data to join our CEO Department in Berlin, Germany to ensure effective management, analysis, and utilization of data to support decision-making and drive the organization's strategic objectives and key results.

As we grow and expand, your core mission in this role is to emphasize business intelligence, insights generation, strategic data governance, and fostering a data-centric culture within the organization.

This is a hybrid position: you must be located in or around Berlin and be able to commute to our office 1-2 times/week.

Data Strategy and Governance

• You develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy and governance policies to ensure data accuracy, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, and improved business insights.

Business Intelligence and Insights

• You generate actionable insights by analyzing data, identifying trends, collaborating on counteractions, refining KPIs, and implementing advanced analytics for forecasting and decision-making.

Team Leadership and Development

• You lead and mentor the data team in a matrix-set-up, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Data Management and Quality

• You oversee data collection, storage, and management systems to ensure quality, consistency, and accessible documentation.

Reporting and Visualization

• You design and deliver comprehensive reports and dashboards using effective data visualization tools.

• You have a proven track record of 7+ years in data management, business intelligence, and data strategy development for Saas business models.

• You have a strong commercial mindset.

• You have strong leadership and team management skills.

• You have in-depth experience with standard business intelligence tools (e.g. Snowflake, Tableau, Metabase), data analysis tools, and programming languages (SQL, Python)

• You are fluent in German and English (at least B2 level)

• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and best practices.
