What The Role Entails

CloudHQ is looking for a dynamic and versatile Director of Operations Technology Infrastructure. The Director of OT Infrastructure is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technical infrastructure. This includes overseeing the work of the help desk technicians, as well as providing strategic direction for the department.

• Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's technical infrastructure.
• Ensure the high availability and optimal performance of the company's technical infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in infrastructure management and incorporate them into the company's strategy.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard the company's data and systems.
• Provide compliance audit support, ensuring the company's technical infrastructure adheres to all applicable regulations.
• Manage the help desk technicians, ensuring they provide timely and accurate support to users.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth within the infrastructure department.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and ensure resource allocation aligns with company objectives.
• Oversee the full infrastructure project management lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure infrastructure projects align with company objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop, manage, and maintain the budget for the infrastructure department, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness in all infrastructure projects.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure the company gets the best value and service from vendors.
• Collaborate with other department heads and the Vice President of Corp IT to ensure alignment of infrastructure strategy with overall company goals.
• Engage with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to gather feedback and ensure the infrastructure department meets business needs and industry standards.
• Support the data center. operations team as required
• Regularly review and analyze infrastructure performance metrics, making strategic decisions based on data-driven insights.
• Generate regular reports on infrastructure health, performance, and areas of improvement, providing them to the Vice President of DCIT for review.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums, showcasing the company's infrastructure prowess and staying informed about industry advancements.

What You Bring to The Role

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of (ten) 10 years of experience in infrastructure management or related roles, with a proven track record of leadership.
• Strong knowledge of data center technologies, cloud solutions, and network management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Adaptable to changing business needs and able to prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
