The Life Sciences Innovations Group (LSIG) Commercial team drives high-level collaborations and partnerships with BioPharma Strategic Partnership Accounts through a strong knowledge and evolution of the workflows relevant to the LSIG product portfolio.

The BioPharma Workflow Solutions Architect is responsible for the technical engagement of these workflows internally and the technical deployment of these workflows to our Partnership Accounts. This role is rich with learning and significant career growth development.

This position is part of the Life Sciences Innovations Group Commercial Team and will be located remotely in Europe.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Leverage hands-on experience at BioPharma Accounts in predevelopment and development of modalities such as complex antibodies, viral vectors/Gene Therapies, mRNA, Cell Therapies, etc.
  2. Regularly interface with customers, engaging in scientifically driven conversations to assess current and future needs around workflows and related technologies.
  3. Develop a strong understanding of the LSIG Operating Companies (Abcam, Beckman Life Science, IDBS, Leica Microsystems, Molecular Devices, Phenomenex, & Sciex) and gain sufficient knowledge and understanding of key select innovations and products as key differentiators in said workflows.
  4. Lead functional and/or cross-functional teams or projects to build tools, resources, and collateral to support workflow development and deployment.
  5. Partner with Key Account Partners to maximize value and efficiencies by understanding the customers’ specific processes.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD in life sciences or Master’s degree in life sciences with 2+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree in life sciences with 6+ years of experience. Field-based application scientist experience is a plus.
  • Multiple years of experience in the developmental processes for the modalities above including cell line development, Upstream & Downstream PD plus a strong understanding of the analytical lab ecosystem.
  • Multiple years of experience in interpreting data to identify opportunities and drive forward to achieve results and goals.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Willing to travel across the customer base in Europe and North America (20-40%).
