*Summary*
We are seeking a Relief Pharmacist to work PRN (as needed) in the compounding pharmacy on-site at the UGA Vet Teaching Hospital in Athens, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective compounding of medications for our diverse animal patients, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional veterinary care.
*Responsibilities*
* Compound medications as required for specific cases.
* Educate veterinary staff and students on pharmacology and medication administration.
* Maintain accurate inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
* Sign off on prescriptions filled within the Pharmacy.
* *Qualifications*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Current State of GA license
* Proficient in compounding medications and medication administration techniques.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the veterinary team.
* Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and EMR/EHR systems is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
