Senior Software Engineer

Join Qlik's dynamic and forward-thinking Cloud-focused TMC Team as a Software Engineer, where you'll participate in developing services to schedule customer jobs with their appropriate configuration and the engines where the executions take place. Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

• TMC services enhancements: Develop, test, and maintain services used to schedule and run millions of executions daily.
• Issues resolution: Collaborate with support engineers to analyze, identify, and resolve issues and bottlenecks.
• Quality assurance: Ensure deliverables meet requirements, employing test-driven development practices, including a variety of tests (unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests).
• Implement robust monitoring: Develop effective alerts, dashboards, playbooks, and runbooks to ensure swift issue identification and resolution.
• Communication and collaboration: Communicate with engineering management and team leaders on task prioritization, scheduling, and coordination. Collaborate with team members on all aspects of the development process, including API and interface standards, user experience, architectural design, implementation, testing, and documentation.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• At least around 4 years of practical experience in software development
• Willingness to work in a large organization
• Eager to learn and progress on every aspect of software engineering responsibility
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in Java and Spring
• Ability to communicate smoothly, effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with services scalability, HA.
• Experience with messaging tools like Kafka or Active MQ
• Experience with DBs like Postgresql and MongoDB
• Experience in API design
• Experience in working within a distributed & international agile team environment
• Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong ownership, proactively communication and identification of topics to work on
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Helm/Flux would be a plus
• Experience with high demanding environments (SLA 99.5% and more) would be a plus
