About
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including urgent care and pediatrics. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health needs, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
*Duties*
* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and performing treatments as prescribed.
* Conduct patient assessments to monitor health status and report changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
* Assist with acute pain management strategies and support patients through their recovery process.
* Perform tube feeding procedures as required and educate patients and families on care plans.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards, including documentation of ICD-9 codes for billing purposes.
* Carry out IV insertion procedures and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Educate patients and families about health management, medication administration, and follow-up care.
*Requirements*
* Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
* Knowledge of physiology and patient care principles.
* Experience in pediatrics or urgent care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
* Proficiency in acute pain management techniques.
* Ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
* Experience with tube feeding procedures is a plus.
* Competence in IV insertion techniques is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
