Software Engineering Manager - Spatial Understanding

As an Engineering Manager in XR Tech, you will lead, manage, and inspire engineering teams developing Spatial Understanding capabilities for XR devices. You'll guide architecture and delivery of software products, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver great consumer products while growing your teams. Responsibilities include:

1. Help build and lead development of Meta’s real-time scene understanding engine
2. Work with product management and experience developers to enable frictionless and immersive Mixed Reality experiences
3. Drive excellent customer experience and establish metrics for quality assessment
4. Champion engineering and operational excellence, establish project framework and development processes
5. Provide technical leadership, set clear expectations, and create a positive work environment
6. Communicate effectively with global engineering teams, operate strategically and tactically

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or relevant work experience
• Background in 3D reconstruction, mesh generation, or similar domain
• Professional experience shipping software products, innovating technologies, and managing cross-functional teams
• Able to thrive in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C++, machine learning, Bayesian filtering, and 3D geometry
• Experience generating scene graphs, delivering APIs to production
