In line with the AXA Group's Driving Progress 2023 strategy and ambition to develop an innovative, transversal solution to help us better serve our customers, AXA's Management Committee recently announced a new strategic initiative - Digital Commercial Platform (DCP) - designed to transform AXA's value proposition. Through DCP, AXA will serve existing and new clients and partners through an evolving business model, where our focus on insurance protection will transition to a combination of protection, prevention, and services - moving from loss prevention to loss prediction.

AXA DCP relies on creating an ecosystem of AXA's risk insights, risk management, and risk prevention capabilities to enhance and support our service offering to commercial clients. Clients will be able to access a broad selection of data built on existing or developing AXA assets. The platform will also create value by monetizing unique capabilities and services for our customers, aggregating, and delivering insights from unique data sets with external partners, and fostering end-customer relationships in alignment with brokers.

AXA DCP aims to:

  1. Improve our underwriting pricing and claims capabilities across the commercial lines book of business of AXA Group
  2. Create a platform for risk management and prevention services
  3. Build an ecosystem of business partners

As Enterprise Architect of AXA DCP, you will be responsible to align the technology of an AXA DCP's business with its strategy. You will have a highly visible job with a significant level of responsibility inside the Technology Office of AXA DCP, with a lot of interaction outside of the AXA DCP team, you will stay aware of new trends in technology. The Enterprise Architect of AXA DCP abide by strict performance standards and deadlines, and you'll operate as an IT visionary, with some specific expertise in a Cloud transformation landscape and ecosystem, with a sensibility with Data Systems at scale but you'll also serve as a generalist IT officer providing high-level oversight and guidance.

You'll report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and you will have to travel to other AXA entities or branches for implementation and synchronization of technology strategy in the AXA's IT system.

As a key member of the technical team you will play a critical role in AXA DCP's growth and success.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Determining the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet company business goals of AXA DCP
  • Setting the context, defining common elements and creating patterns and standards to apply the details at a project level
  • Assisting management and stakeholders in evaluating the business' mission and ensuring that the company uses its IT assets effectively and securely
  • Documenting the process using multiple architectural models and practices including TOGAF
  • Generating graphic representations and abstracts of the system architecture models, business architecture, logic architecture, behavior architecture, data architecture etc...
  • Evaluating existing IT systems for exposure or weaknesses that could compromise performance, security or efficiency in the context of AXA DCP and its ecosystem in connection with other AXA entities and third-party partners
  • First-hand experience developing and building models based on The Enterprise Framework
  • Implementing shared infrastructure to optimize information management systems
  • Providing a standard common business vocabulary, expresses strategic requirements, outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and aligns with DCP strategy and related business architecture
  • Defining reference enterprise architecture and the business architect, designing the technical environment and ecosystem for AXA DCP based on its requirements, utilizing the best technologies services in interaction
  • Lead and conduct the AXA DCP Architecture practice and co-animating the Architecture Review Board, preparing Architect Design Documents (ADD) and supporting the team in that aim
  • Sharing information with stakeholders in AXA Group and with AXA Entities about the state of the Enterprise Architect model of AXA DCP

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to share insights with stakeholders of all levels, including entry-level programmers, business managers, project team members, and senior executives.
  • Being a thought leader who creates and presents content using Enterprise Architect practice and standards (TOGAF)
  • Proven expertise in the Enterprise Architect in a Cloud environment with
  • Being certified on AWS as Solution Architecture Associate level would be appreciated or any other key AWS certifications or specialties
  • High-level collaboration skills to assist with several different areas of cloud architecture management
  • Project management skills to orchestrate IT Systems teams and integrations project seamlessly
  • Strong technical expertise (with critical thinking and analytical skills), you're proficient in popular programming languages like Node.js, Python or Java, good understanding of how databases, networks, and other critical IT functions work
  • Ability to integrate and automate an organization's IT system processes, and a proven experience working with legacy information systems
  • Good knowledge of standards related to regulatory compliance risk management (ISO 27001)
  • Master from engineering school or university equivalence
  • 12+ years or more experience in building/ designing user-facing software products and services
  • 12+ years in a technical senior management role, developing and nurturing teams of motivated technologists
