To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a motivated and committed Senior Data Engineer 100% in Basel Headquarters as of 01.08.2024.
Your Tasks

You integrate data from various sources into the central data warehouse on Google BigQuery.
You design and implement data pipelines with different cloud technologies for processing and analyzing large datasets.
You work with modern cloud technologies to develop scalable and efficient data solutions.
You continuously improve the data platform's reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability by implementing new features and improvements.
You work on user stories to further develop our data warehouse systems in an Agile context.
You deal with the customers’ needs to understand their problems and find efficient solutions.
You are responsible for developing reports in different tools (Power BI / Looker Studio).
your profile

You have a degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent engineering field.
You have 3-5 years of professional experience with ETL / ELT processes (ideally in Google BigQuery).
You have an in-depth knowledge of SQL, Python or other programming language is a great asset.
You have deep knowledge in cloud technologies (Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure).
You are proficient in the field of business intelligence or in a similar function, ideally in retail.
You have good knowledge in data science projects is a plus.
You have strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems.
You are a team player, with excellent communication and effective collaboration skills.
You are fluent in spoken and written German and/or English.
