The IT Compliance team safeguards AllianzGI’s IT by raising awareness and educating on binding requirements, translating regulation into relevant business challenges, tracking implementation progress, ensuring adherence and monitoring operational and regulatory risk. The team acts as a strong link between the 1st and 2nd line of defence. The IT Compliance Manager directly reports into the Head of IT Compliance and is part of the Enterprise Services Function in the COO division.

This role is based in Frankfurt.
What you will do

  • Design and implement a sustainable IT compliance framework for IT infrastructure (e.g. application servers, databases, operating system, virtualised environment, cloud infrastructure, network, storage, etc.)
  • Guide policy owners on the authoring of compliance standards and other supporting documentation
  • Risk-based prevention of compliance deviations in close collaboration with IT infrastructure teams
  • Review of the IT infrastructure design against IT compliance requirements
  • Supervise the remediation status of non-compliant regulated objects and recommend required actions to correct those deviations
  • Be responsible for the business repository of IT requirements and verify compliance status on a regular basis
  • Provide regulatory compliance reporting to senior management

What you bring

  • Excellent university degree in IT, Engineering, Compliance, Law, or related field of study
  • Deep knowledge of national and international regulatory requirements in the financial services industry
  • Expertise in analyzing, implementing, and supervising regulatory requirements in the IT control system
  • Experience in IT infrastructure engineering or architecture
  • Experience in running (international) projects or programs and in introducing and leading change
  • Experience in planning and performing IT audits or cloud audits would be highly beneficial
  • A proactive and client-centric approach, combining diplomacy and assertiveness
  • Excellent communication skills to be applied in conveying impactful recommendations to senior management/ partners
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with various teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written required, further languages would be highly beneficial
