About

Are you looking for a new position as a data scientist in the field of machine learning? Do you have the experience to excel in an international environment?

Do you have a proven background working with Pyspark and Sagemaker?

Then we have a role for you.

We are looking for someone to work within a team of data scientists to:

  1. Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for use in statistical modelling and machine learning algorithms and develop new features to improve machine learning time series models.
  2. Design and implement experiments and use cases to test the effectiveness of machine learning models and produce metrics, alerts, and strategies.
  3. Test and refactor code and machine learning pipelines.

You will also be required to develop dashboards to monitor the machine learning production models as well as analyze results to provide insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will be expected to have a degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, or related discipline along with advanced quantitative, statistical, and programming skills.

Previous experience in the role of a data scientist or analyst is required as well as a background in machine learning in the form of building analytical and predictive models.

You will be experienced in creating and using advanced ML, time series, or deep learning algorithms for regression, classification, forecasting, or clustering problems.

Your technical background will be in Python, Bash scripting, PySpark, AWS SageMaker, Boto3, and the AWS Stack. Solid knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools is also expected.

The essential skills required for this role are PySpark and Sagemaker or Boto3. Candidates without these key skills will, unfortunately, not be selected.

You will be well-drilled in machine learning techniques including classification, clustering, optimization, deep neural network, and natural language processing.

You will also master version control, CI/CD tools, and general DevOps practices, all within an agile development environment. This is a live project, so will be working in a production environment to develop and deploy the new ML solutions.

Strong communication skills are key to working in this busy international environment. English language skills are essential.

This position can be based remotely or working in Geneva. For those candidates able to work in Geneva, you must be based in Switzerland or from the EU with the possibility to start work immediately
