Our client is dedicated to safeguarding their clients' data and maintaining the highest standards of security. As a business leader, our client understands the critical importance of cybersecurity in protecting business operations and reputation. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join the executive team and lead the cybersecurity strategy.

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy to protect the company's assets, including data, systems, and networks. The CISO will lead the cybersecurity team, manage risk, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the evolving cybersecurity landscape, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust information security strategy and framework aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage the cybersecurity team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization
  • Oversee incident response planning and execution, including the investigation of security breaches and the implementation of corrective measures
  • Collaborate with other executives and stakeholders to integrate security into business processes and decision-making
  • Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, and provide recommendations to enhance the company's security posture
  • Manage relationships with external security vendors, consultants, and auditors
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on the status of the company's cybersecurity program

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful information security strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Strong understanding of risk management, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent
